Beautiful Day


So I was off work from both jobs today. I slept in. Way in. I didn’t get up until about 11:30! (Don’t judge me! Lol. I rarely ever get a day off from both jobs!) When I finally rolled out of bed I took my time getting around. I watched the most recent episode of Bones, and an episode of The Biggest Loser. I’ve been watching The Biggest Loser on Hulu. It’s really an inspiration! I’m on season 8 right now. I’m not a big fan of this season. I don’t really like many of the contestants. Then I cooked myself breakfast/lunch. It was Eggbeaters, Canadian bacon, mushrooms, and spinach sautéed with garlic, red pepper, and cilantro. It was amazing and even with two cups of orange juice the meal was less than 500 calories! I wish that I had taken a picture; it was also really pretty.

It was a gorgeous day today, so I took Tesla (my doggy) to the lake for a hike with me. We hiked a little over 5 miles. It was nice. Tesla was tired though!

I thought seeing the turtles sunbathing was pretty cool.

It took about an hour and a half to finish the hike (stopping frequently for pictures and to play). When I got home I had a snack. (Lean Cuisine spinach dip) I relaxed at home for a bit and read. Then at about 5:30 I left to go to the gym. Today I started with the elliptical and did the weight loss intervals. It was 30 minutes. Then I did 30 minutes on the bike, also doing intervals and increasing the resistance each interval. Last I did 30 minutes on the climber elliptical machine (not sure on the actual name of it). So only an hour and a half in the gym. But by the end of my workout I was starving, so I decided to go ahead and go home.

On my way home I stopped by sonic to get a diet green tea. They are amazing! I love all the flavors, but today I got blackberry. I got super tempted at sonic. They just started this summer of shakes promotion and have all kinds of crazy flavors like peanut butter bacon and peanut butter and jelly. I really really wanted to try one. I almost did, but I talked myself out of it! I’m so glad I did, too. That would’ve been all the calories that I had just burned!

When I got home I drank a chocolate protein shake, and that satisfied my sweet craving. For dinner I baked a piece of tilapia and had broccoli with cheese. It was delicious. So overall today I only ate 1200 calories (28 Weight Watchers points). And I burned about 2200 calories (10 activity points). I think that’s pretty good! Hopefully this hard work will show up on the scale this week!

Tomorrow I do Day 1 of Week 2 C25K. I’m a little nervous about running for a minute and a half! I’m determined to do it though!
