I finished Week 1 of Couch to 5K yesterday. Day 3 was a lot easier than Day 2 was! I didn’t have a problem finishing the runs at all. I’m pretty excited to start Week 2! It’s a minute and a half running and 2 minutes walking repeated 6 times. When I started this program a minute and a half running seemed unattainable. But I’m actually looking forward to it.
After I finished Week 1 Day 3 C25K, I stayed in the gym another two hours! I did a mile on the elliptical, ten minutes on the stairmaster (16 flights of stairs), and 20 miles on the stationary bike. I was riding intervals on the bike. I started at 2 minutes resistance 1, then 2 minutes resistance 4. Then when it went back to resistance 1 I bumped it up to 2, and bumped the 4 to a 5. I keep adding to the resistance each interval change until I was going at resistance 9 and 12 intervals.
So I was pretty proud of myself! I got a 3 hour workout in and burned about 1500 calories, which is more than I ate that day!
I also started using gym pact this week. I really think it’s going to help motivate me to go to the gym. I started out with 3 workouts a week at $5 for every missed workout. I might change this if the $5 isn’t enough motivation. We will see!
Hopefully I can keep up this motivation and energy I have for working out all week and see a big weight loss on Sunday!
I saw this today and loved it! I completely felt like this when I started working out! But I’m starting to not feel like this anymore. 🙂
