I haven’t been skipping a day between C25K sessions. Oops. So far it hasn’t bothered me though. Yesterday I ran Week 3 Day 1. It’s 1 1/2 minutes of running, 1 1/2 minutes walking, then 3 minutes running, 2 minutes walking. Twice. I ran the whole thing!! I thought I was going to die. But I did it. I really really wanted to quit, but I just kept telling myself 10 more seconds. You’re halfway through now; don’t quit or it’s for nothing. And I did it! I’m pretty proud of myself.
Another milestone yesterday, I used the pool for the first time! I did some laps. I’m not a very strong swimmer, but I figure I’ll get better over time.
Now I really want to add some strength training to my workouts but I have no idea what to do, when to do it, how much weight to use, etc. Any tips? Links to websites with good information?
